Samaren Roy wrote for Quest, the journal of ideas sponsored by the Indian Committee for Cultural Freedom, appearing in one issue of the archive’s run (Vol. I No. 3 (Dec. ‘55—Jan. ‘56)).

Quest’s contributor note in Vol. I No. 3 (Dec. ‘55—Jan. ‘56), p. 68 reads:

Samaren Roy. Edited and published the Bengali weekly Janata in 1946-47 and Arani in 1948. Now edits Uttar Suri, a Bengali literary quarterly.
