C. L. Proudfoot wrote for Quest, the journal of ideas sponsored by the Indian Committee for Cultural Freedom, appearing in one issue of the archive’s run (No. 18 (July-September 1958)).

Quest’s contributor note in No. 18 (July-September 1958), p. 91 reads:

Major C. L. Proudfoot, poet, cartoonist, humorous essayist and short story writer, is an officer of the Indian Army (“and since this is a land of castes and subcastes you can consider me an Anglo-Indian”, he writes). His first collection of poems Grains of Sand was published privately in 1952.
